If you’re looking for some nighttime entertainment after a day at the beach, the Sarasota Ballet is presenting the company premiere of Galina Samsova’s Paquita in Florida State University’s Auditorium, Sarasota, Fla. Opera and ballet combine on Friday, Jan. 29 in Doug Varone and Dancers’ fourth installment of “Stripped,” a series of intimate studio showings. Metropolitan Opera star Elizabeth Futral will join the company in a new staging of Da Tempeste from Handel’s “Giulio Cesare.” The program includes a number of Varone’s signature pieces and will show at the 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Center.
