NYC’s Rockefeller Park hosts a celebration of Merce Cunningham’s legacy when Lucinda Childs, Bill T. Jones, Susan Marshall, Jon Kinzel, and Faye Driscoll present their work in “We Give Ourselves Away at Every Moment: An EVENT for Merce.” The free performance, on July 26, is part of the outdoor River to River Festival.

Experience $25 worth of deliciousness when Lemon Sponge Cake Contemporary Ballet presents the world premiere of BACH 260 in the Chautauqua Auditorium, part of the Chautauqua Summer Series 2010. The performance, in Boulder, CO, on July 31, stems from a collaborative effort of dancer/choreographer Robert Sher-Machherndl with Finnish National Ballet Étoile Minna Tervamaki.

Catch one of this year’s 25 to Watch-ers in action when Judith Sánchez Ruíz presents her choreography on Sept. 11, in Riverside Park South. The free performance, a solo improv piece danced by Laura Arend, is part of the Summer On the Hudson festival, now in its tenth anniversary season.
