The terrific documentary First Position, which focuses on six competitors at the 2010 Youth America Grand Prix, officially opens tomorrow in New York and Los Angeles—and will show at more theaters around the country in the coming weeks (see this listing to find a theater near you).
As detailed in my review from last November, the film follows six talents from different backgrounds, all working towards the same goal: dancing their absolute best at the YAGP finals in NYC.
I won't give away any spoilers here, but let's just say that a few of them are doing fabulously two years out. So go see the film, and then check out this recent footage. —Kina Poon
