One benefit of going to class—whether it’s ballet, jazz, Pilates, or yoga—is having a trained instructor tell you what to do next, so that you can focus on your body instead of thinking too far ahead. So what do you do when you’re stuck in a hotel room on tour, or have too much homework and can’t make it to your weekly Pilates session? According to FitDeck, just play cards.
FitDeck is a series of exercise playing-card sets. Each deck of 56 cards has a specific focus such as Yoga, Pilates, or the original Body Weight, with illustrations and instructions for up to 50 exercises. The decks come packaged in small plastic cases, require little (if any) equipment, and can be mixed and matched. And while you can shuffle them and pick an exercise at random, don’t be afraid to “stack the deck” to achieve the best workout for when- and wherever you are. See www.fitdeck.com.
