Four dance companies are coming together to support those affected by recent tornados in Oklahoma. Hartel Dance Group, Oklahoma City Ballet, Perpetual Motion Dance, and Race Dance will give a concert benefit, called Dance United, on June 15 at 8 PM at the Hudson Performance Hall in Oklahoma City. (OKCB also brought this former dancer's needs to our attention.) The evening features both new works and old favorites by all four companies. Tickets are $25 dollars, and there will be a post-show reception at Packard’s American Kitchen to raise additional funds. All of the proceeds will go to the Central Oklahoma Red Cross, an organization working to shelter, feed, and emotionally support victims of the devastating tornados. Buy your tickets at the door or reserve them at 405-843-9898. See the event's Facebook page for more info.
