Excited for the Olympics? Well, don’t just watch; join in the fun. Take some inspiration from the elite athletes and try your hand at some outdoor winter sports. According to WebMD, winter sports are great for strengthening your quads, glutes, and calves. While figure skating might be a little risky, cross-country skiing is a low-impact way to work out your biceps and triceps, reduce stress and anxiety, and keep you exposed to some much-needed Vitamin D. To conquer the chilly weather, wear multiple layers of clothing that you can move in easily. And, like with any fitness activity, make sure to have water and a healthy snack on hand.
