MANAGING DIRECTOR , Joffrey Academy, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet. Widely regarded as one of the world's foremost dance training centers, Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet is currently accepting applications for Managing Director. The position oversees all administrative and operational components including finance, marketing, logistics, and reports directly to Christopher Clinton Conway, Executive Director, The Joffrey Ballet. The Managing Director works closely with Academy Artistic Directors and Faculty to ensure that all programs are adequately supported and that mutually-established goals are achieved. A minimum of seven years of experience in arts management or arts education, preferably as the head of a department or organization for at least two of those years. This person should have experience supervising staff at multiple sites, serving a rapidly-growing client base, as well as creating and managing a budget of more than $1.5 million. An energetic, creative and entrepreneurial, individual who is collaborative, diplomatic and highly self-motivated is preferred. The ability to manage multiple projects at once and be detail-orientated is essential. THE ROYAL BALLET FLANDERS SEEKS TO APPOINT A NEW ARTISTIC DIRECTOR: The successful candidate will be appointed for a period of 5 years, subject to renewal. The Royal Ballet Flanders was founded in 1969 and is financially supported by the Flemish Government. At present it is engaged in a transition process, with the aim to structurally collaborate with the Flemish Opera and orchestras. Currently the Royal Ballet Flanders consists of 49 dancers and 3 apprentices. The core repertoire ranges from classical and neo-classical repertoire to new work with the new generation of choreographers. A special attention is given to the canon, including landmark productions of leading 20st century choreographers, be it Flemish or international. Performances are given in the opera houses of Antwerp and Ghent, in the Ballet's own theatre in Antwerp, on tour in Belgium and abroad.
