BALLET FACULTY POSITIONS: Two openings: Position #025200 and Position #025212. University of North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Dance. Qualifications: M.F.A. in a related field or a Master Degree with 18 credit hours in a related field or an equivalent combination of professional experience, and or education and teaching. Professionally experienced ballet teacher, with ability to teach all levels of pre-professional students. Experience required in staging ballet repertory. Performance background with major ballet company essential. Applicant must have an extensive experience performing classical pointe variations in their professional career. Responsibilities: Teach ballet technique to all levels of ballet and contemporary majors, as well as pointe class, female variations, and classical repertory for beginning, intermediate, and/or advanced level students. Present students in concerts and workshops. Advise and evaluate students on a regular basis. Grade students and complete progress reports. Attend School of Dance faculty meetings. Serve on appointed committees. Participate in recruitment of and auditions for new students. Participate in School of Dance community outreach programs. Fulfill duties as assigned by the Dean.
