Buenas Noches

November 19, 2007

The Spanish are onto something with that afternoon siesta. Napping revitalizes your body and mind by tapping into the rejuvenating powers only found in sleep. Without a nap, brain activity declines as the day wears on. But by taking just a few minutes to rest, your motor skills and neuromuscular coordination will stay sharp—which means you’ll be able to pick up choreography easier and move those feet more quickly. Try crawling under the grand piano or into a quiet corner of the theater for about 20 minutes during a break.
