Accepted dances will have access to theatrical lighting (no follow spots, or gobos) and a private 15 minute full dress technical rehearsal on stage.

MachineHDance director, Stephanie Deere, is accepting applications for the MachineHDance Winter Festival, scheduled to take place in 2 performances on Friday February 9th and Saturday February 10th at 7:00pm, 2018. Performances are taking place in the Muriel Schulman Theater at Triskelion Arts in Greenpoint Brooklyn.
The goal of the festival is to create a supportive and encouraging outlet for choreographers and dance artists. Consideration will be given to dance works of any genre between 5 - 20 minutes in length. Original work is strongly encouraged, however previously performed work will be reviewed. We aim to limit parameters and projected movement ideals as much as possible in order to enrich the process for participating choreographers and dancers.
The festival fee is $200, including 2 performances in the Muriel Schulman Theater at Triskelion Arts, professional photos, professional video, a 45 minute technical rehearsal, and promotional materials. (MachineHDance has gone green so promotional materials will be distributed online for your use on social media, email newsletters, newssites, etc. )
There is a $10 Application Fee, which if accepted, will go towards your $200 festival fee.

CHOP SHOP: Bodies of Work is seeking individual artists and dance companies with contemporary dance work to be presented at the 2018 Festival (February 17 & 18, 2018), alongside master classes and a free community outreach program. Approximately eight individual artists and/or dance companies will be selected and their work will be presented in both Festival performances (Saturday evening and Sunday matinee). In addition to the Festival performances, selected artists have the opportunity to offer a master class and participate in lecture/demonstration(s) on the art of choreography.
ELIGIBILITY & FEE
This call is open to all individual artists and dance companies residing in the U.S. and Canada. Works presented at CHOP SHOP will not exceed 10 minutes total in length. "Works in progress" are accepted and considered, but your video work sample should show at least 75% of the completed piece. Works still in conceptual form will not be considered.
A modest performance fee is paid to participating individual artists and dance companies. Artists offering master classes and/or community outreach classes receive an additional teaching stipend. While we encourage applications from beyond the Pacific Northwest, please be advised that the Festival is unable to assist with travel, transportation, and/or accommodation costs.

Open Call for Choreographers
PUSH Dance Company seeks original, finished pieces of 5-8 minutes in length by emerging and mid-career choreographers to present at its 4th annual PUSHfest dance festival. This year's Festival will take place at ODC Theater (3153 17th Street, San Francisco, CA 94110), a premiere arts venue in San Francisco on September 22- 24, 2017.
PUSHfest is a mixed-genre dance festival that features works spanning a variety of performance genres and is open to choreographers working locally, nationally and internationally. From your submissions, our curatorial team selects fourteen compelling works to showcase on the big stage in one of two Festival programs.
PUSHfest's growing popularity yielded sold-out and near sold-out audiences for all four performances of the Festival in 2016. In addition to the opportunity to connect with large new audiences, the Festival provides a platform for choreographers to develop lasting relationships with Bay Area artists and art sector professionals. Emerge is a choreographer's showcase designed to provide emerging choreographers with the space and opportunity to present new and existing work. Choreographers will be invited to a feedback session at the close of the show where professional dancers and choreographers will provide constructive thoughts to help the choreographer grow in his/her process.

The Bell House will present the 4th EXCHANGE Choreography Festival, to be held August 25-27th. EXCHANGE provides a meeting point for professional dancers to showcase their choreographic work and engage in dialogue about process. Performances, workshops, and networking events are also included in the festival weekend. Only 15 choreographers are selected by The Bell House to present original dance works up to 10 minutes in length.
Internationally renowned dance-maker and teacher of choreography, Susan Rethorst, is The Bell House's honored guest artist for 2016. She will be spending much time with festival participants at performances and roundtable discussions as well as an exclusive workshop on Rethorst's signature method of choreographic Wrecking (c).
The festival will be held at Tulsa Ballet Studio K, 1212 E. 45th Place, in Tulsa.

Northeast Choreographers Festival Call to Artists
Fusionworks Dance Company invites choreographers from the Northeastern region of United States to submit their work to the 2016 Northeast Choreographers Festival to be presented in November of 2016 in Providence, RI. This year's festival will showcase the works of four emerging and established choreographers from the Northeastern U.S. Three finalists will be paid a $1,000 stipend to do a week-long residency in either May, June, or August, during which they will set their work on Fusionworks Dance Company. One runner-up choreographer, who must specifically be from Rhode Island or South Eastern Massachusetts, will be paid a $500 stipend to set his/her work on the youth company, Fusionworks II.
