Everyone knows that green tea is pretty much the healthiest thing ever. Squeeze some lemon into your next cup to make it even better for you. According to a recent Molecular Nutrition & Food Research study, the acid in citrus helps your body absorb green tea’s antioxidants. Usually, less than 20 percent of the antioxidants in green tea survive in the nonacidic environment of your intestines. Scientists found that orange juice boosts that number to 71 percent and lemon juice makes it jump to 78 percent. Sour is the new sweet!
