Hallie Chametzky
Hallie Chametzky (she/her) is a performer, choreographer, writer, and archivist based in New York City. She has performed works by Liz Lerman, Helen Simoneau, and Eric Rivera, and has danced for Snap Soup Dance Company and Yehuda Hyman/Mystical Feet. Her own choreographic works have been presented throughout New York City, Richmond, VA, and Columbia, SC. Hallie’s writings on dance have been published by Dance Magazine, Contact Quarterly, First of the Month, and the Library of Congress Performing Arts Blog, and her poetry has appeared in Gigantic Sequins, Indolent Books, and the Underground, among others. Her commitment to dance history and legacy led her to a Fellowship in the Dance Collections of the Library of Congress in the summer of 2018, and she has since served in the archiving departments of Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and Dance/USA. Hallie holds a BFA in Dance & Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University.
