A Little Goes a Long Way

June 10, 2009

It’s the season for summer intensives, and while you’re bustling to and from classes and rehearsals, don’t forget to make a little time for yourself. During lunchtime, or when you have a break between obligations, try to fit in a quick power nap. Studies show that a 20-minute nap in the afternoon provides more rest than 20 extra minutes of sleep in the morning.  This quick pick-me-up allows your body to reset and become more alert, more patient, and less stressed. With less fatigue you’ll be able to pick up choreography faster and prevent frustrations that come with stress. So let yourself relax–little kids aren’t the only ones who should get to nap!
