David Parker's Showdown, Free Tap in Tucson, and More!

May 14, 2009

Yee-haw! Join the seven dancers of The Bang Group as they dip, swirl, thud, hoof, tap, and sing to classic tunes from Annie Get Your Gun. David Parker and The Bang Group’s Showdown is a toe-tapping piece that showcases the group’s characteristic mix of precision and abandon. The performances take place June 4-6 at The Public Theater in New York. Tickets are $20 in advance and can be purchased at www.publictheater.org.

Visitors can tour the Betty Oliphant Theatre, watch classes in session and see the school’s wardrobe facility—all for free. The weekend also features several book readings, including Veronica Tennant reading from On Stage Please. For more information go to www.toronto.ca/doorsopen or call 416-397-5023.
