Jazzy Moves for $12, Free Health Care, $5 Musical
Arizona’s dance scene is in full bloom, and the Genesis Dance Series is the place to see some of the best. Los Angeles-area students: Love musicals, but hate the steep ticket prices? Check out Norman’s Ark, an original dance-musical that opens the Ford Amphitheatre’s 2008 Summer Dance Series, May 27-30. Retelling the Noah’s Ark story in the context of a post-Katrina world, the spectacular production features an 80-piece gospel choir, high school gymnasts, and hundreds of children as the ark’s animals.
