Can’t stop. Won’t stop.

Misty Copeland might have yet another credit to add to her ever-growing resume: TV producer. Deadline announced yesterday that today’s most famous ballerina is teaming up with TV-writer Tracy Oliver to executive produce a new one-hour drama series set in the dance world. Fox has ordered a script of the as-yet-untitled project, which will follow a group of diverse young dancers as they attempt to land jobs in a top company. A Fox spokesperson told Newsweek that, despite rumors, the script would not be based on Copeland’s life story (most likely since New Line already optioned the rights to her autobiography).

Don’t get too excited just yet. There are no guarantees the show will air. Once the script is sent to Fox, they will then decide whether or not to do a pilot, and then whether or not to order a full series. But one thing is for sure: Misty Copeland is on fire.
