With summer days (and beautiful weather) quickly approaching, leave the Theraband at home and head to the beach to work out those feet. A barefoot jog in the sand is a great way to strength train those tootsies. Running on the beach without shoes works the muscles your arches and experts say it might even reduce the risk of plantar fasciitis. Plus, it practically incinerates calories—you burn up 20 to 50 percent more than if you would if you were going at the same pace on the treadmill.
