Rebecca Ritzel

Rebecca J. Ritzel is originally from Baltimore, Maryland. She holds a master's of art journalism from Syracuse University, where she studied dance with Tony Salatino. Rebecca has written about dance for The Washington Post since 2008, interviewing major contemporary choreographers and serving as the paper's performing arts columnist from 2014-2016. Other outlets that have published her dance writing include City Paper, Dance Tabs, Fjord Review, the News & Observer, Slate and Virginia Living.
