If you’re prone to overuse injuries, you might consider revamping your diet. A study at SUNY Buffalo recently found that sticking to a low fat regimen made athletes more than twice as likely to suffer from training-related injuries like tendonitis or stress fractures. That’s because they were missing out on healthy fats like omega-3 fatty acids which help your body repair tissues after working out. You can get some omega-3s from walnuts, flaxseeds, and cold water fish like salmon.
