For the first time in more than five years, Broadway will grace the GRAMMY Awards. Tonight, Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast of Hamilton will perform during the Los Angeles-based broadcast via satellite from their stage in New York City. The last musical featured at the GRAMMYs was the Greenday production American Idiot, a musical that was a more obvious fit for mainstream TV, in 2010. And the last time the awards even allowed an off-location performance was when the late Amy Winehouse was on tour and won five GRAMMYs.

Hamilton
will be performing the opening number, “Alexander Hamilton.” Here’s a video of Miranda rapping the song when the musical was just a concept, back at the White House Poetry Jam in 2009.

The broadcast begins Monday, February 15 at 8 pm ET on CBS. Hamilton is nominated for Best Musical Theater Album, along with An American In Paris, Fun Home, The King and I and Something Rotten! Click here for a full list of the evening’s nominees.
