A Really Cool View of Serenade

Today’s Dance Glance is truly a glance of dance from a bird’s-eye view—brought to you by Boston Ballet and two techies from MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. In short, professor David Gifford and grad student Adrian Dalca positioned a few small cameras above Boston Ballet’s Studio 7 to record a full day of class and rehearsals. The video, “A Day of Grace with Boston Ballet” will be shown this Saturday evening at Boston Ballet’s Night of Stars gala along with performances of George Balanchine’s Serenade and Jorma Elo’s Plan to B.
