A Social Media Site Solely for Dancers

Lauren Lovette’s Dance.com profile

Social media outlets are a great tool for connecting with dancer-people you meet, but they don’t always fit your networking needs. Facebook can feel far too casual, and LinkedIn too formal. So what’s a working dancer to do?

Dance.com
is one option. Launched in November and with a new iOS app, dance.com lets you follow dancers, watch videos, get technique tips and job hunt. “Friending” your favorite performers—or real-life friends—allows you to see what they post and share, like this from New York City Ballet principal Lauren Lovette. We like the behind-the scenes video of her at an MPG Sport photo shoot.

Let the social media stalking begin!
