These Three Cruises Are Betting Big on Dance
Dancing on cruises is nothing new. Big ships have long hired dance talent to entertain their guests at night, offering great jobs for dancers looking to perform while traveling the world.
But today, it seems like the cruise industry is investing in dance on a whole other level. These three cruises put dancers and performances front and center, offering passengers a chance to plan a vacation around their passion for dance.
Commercial superstars Kenny Wormald and Misha Gabriel have teamed up for this one-of-a-kind vacation to the Bahamas this July. The pair will be offering hip hop classes on the boat and on the beach, hosting group dinners and parties, and even shooting a music video on the islands with the guests. For its new ship Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Cruise Line (which is known for its Broadway-style shows) is doubling down on the on-board entertainment options. Not only will passengers be treated to a full production of Jersey Boys, but Tony Award–winning choreographer Warren Carlyle will also be creating a completely new show to debut on the ship. Yup, a brand new musical, just for the cruise. This ship will sail to Alaska and the Caribbean starting in June 2018.
