Dance & Fashion at FIT

September 10, 2014

Dancing fashionistas, take note: The Museum at FIT has a new exhibition, Dance & Fashion, opening tomorrow. It examines the integration of high fashion in the dance world—and the influence the dance world has had on fashion. Ballet-inspired Louboutins, Margot Fonteyn’s pointe shoes, a Swan Lake inspired ball gown by Dior and costumes worn by Baryshnikov, Katherine Dunham and Martha Graham are just some of the fabulous things the exhibition boasts. Running September 13, 2014-January 3, 2015, this is one we definitely don’t want to miss.
