Dexter Takes Broadway
Last night was a big one for The Great White Way. On the Town opened to fantastic reviews. (Which were well deserved. I saw the show, which I wrote about for our October issue, on Wednesday and our cover stars were sparkling.)
But another production made waves: Michael C. Hall—best known for his roles in “Six Feet Under” and more recently, “Dexter”—debuted as the title character in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. It’s a big transformation: Hedwig is a transgender rocker. And Hall has big shoes to fill: Former lead Neil Patrick Harris won a Tony for his performance.
So what does the dark and morally questionable Dexter look like in tights? The Wall Street Journal takes us through Hall’s 45-minute cosmetic transformation here.
Stay tuned for our December issue. We’ve got more behind-the-scenes coverage of Hall in Hedwig coming your way.
