Your Friday Zen: Eliot Feld's Tweets

Eliot Feld has accomplished many amazing things throughout his career (see Ballet Tech, The Joyce, his performance as Baby John in West Side Story, just for starters). But one of my favorite things he’s ever done is tweet. I know, it sounds silly. But Feld is a poetic master of the 140-character format.

Starting in 2009, he began tweeting a sentence that opened with the phrase “One dances…” almost every single day. He stopped at the end of 2011, but this month he came back! And, although he only has a few hundred followers, he’s been posting something magnificent almost daily again. Some are silly, others are surprisingly moving. But they’re all short notes that make you stop, and think, and cherish this amazing art form we get to call our career. My favorites:
