Keith Haring's Legacy is Alive and Well

March 26, 2012

Artist and activist Keith Haring passed away from AIDS at only 31 in 1990. During his life he collaborated with Bill T. Jones, Madonna, and Yoko Ono to name just a few. Our October 1984 cover featured Bill T. Jones and Arnie Zane in front of some of Haring’s signature figures. Right now there this a retrospective of his early work at the Brooklyn Museum now until July 8th, (Keith Haring: 1978-1982). For more about the show, check out this NY Times article.
