Sarah Jessica Parker is taking over the radio—and bringing a few ballet icons with her. The New York City Ballet super-fan (and city.ballet. executive producer) is guest hosting WNYC’s “The Leonard Lopate Show” today and tomorrow, and she has handpicked some incredible guests to interview. Tune in at noon (EST) tomorrow to hear Parker talk to Gelsey Kirkland and her husband Michael Chernov about starting up the Gelsey Kirkland Conservatory of Classical Ballet as well as their thoughts on training future generations of ballet dancers. Right after, Parker will interview NYCB principals Ashley Bouder and Sara Mearns about their careers, and the challenges and joys of company life—beyond what’s shown on city.ballet.
