Process Revealed

September 4, 2012

What is the process that leads Tere O’Connor, or RoseAnne Spradlin, or Yasuko Yoshoki, or Bebe Miller—or any of the other intriguing choreographers being presented by New York Live Arts this year—to generate the dances that we end up seeing onstage? In NYLA’s new series of Saturday afternoon classes, “Shared Practice,” some of the many dance- and theater-makers that are part of the 2012–13 season will open up their creative processes (as much as they can in the span of two hours) giving other artists a glimpse into how they approach making work. Workshops are a very reasonable $15 and begin October 6 with RoseAnne Spradlin. Click here for the full schedule. —Siobhan Burke
