SFB Comes to Your Local Movie Theater. Plus, a Giveaway!

September 23, 2015

I’m all for making dance a little more accessible. And what’s more Everyman than an evening at the movies? The brand-new Lincoln Center at the Movies series is doing just that, and its kickoff screening is tonight! Participating theaters throughout the U.S. will be showing San Francisco Ballet’s Romeo & Juliet, starring Maria Kochetkova and Davit Karapetyan, at 7 pm. (If you live in NYC, Kochetkova herself will be at Regal Cinemas Union Square for the screening.) So grab a friend, and a box of Milk Duds, and hit up the cinema. (Click here for tickets.)

I mean, how could you resist this topnotch storytelling…

Future screening dates to add to your calendar:

–October 22: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performs Revelations, plus works by Wayne McGregor, Ronald K. Brown and Robert Battle.

–November 12: Ballet Hispanico performs works by Pedro Ruiz and Gustavo Ramirez Sansano.
