Studio Notes

Contemporary dance is on the move in Texas this month when

Houston Met Dance Company
relocates to a newly renovated building in the Midtown District. The Houston Metropolitan Dance Center will have more than 11,000 square feet that will house the Houston Met Too Youth Training Company, pre-professional summer intensives, and year-round classes for adults and children—programs that are anticipated to grow, thanks to the larger space. Famed Limón dancers

Fritz Ludin
and Betty Jones (a longtime dance partner of José Limón) will lead a three-week Humphrey/Limón workshop at the Red Bean Studios in NYC, June 3–21. The workshop is part of a historical series presented by Moving Visions Dance Studio. Other workshops include classes in the styles of Anna Sokolow, Isadora Duncan, and Pauline Koner.
