The Latest: In the Works

Alexei Ratmansky has reinvigorated some of ballet’s biggest classics. His new Paquita premieres at Munich’s Bayerisches Staatsballett in December. But Americans are most anticipating his Sleeping Beauty for American Ballet Theatre’s 75th year. With sets and choreography based on Petipa’s original, the ballet will debut at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California, March 3–8, 2015, and continue on to ABT’s spring season in New York City.
