Women In Charge

November 6, 2012

The votes are still being counted after yesterday’s national election, but one thing about the 113th Congress has been confirmed: It will have the most female senators in our nation’s history, at least 19. It’s a start.

In the dance world—especially in the realm of ballet—we’d also like to see more women leaders. For our November issue, our first ever Women’s Issue, we decided to profile Tamara Rojo, the former star of the Royal who is now at the helm of English National Ballet. She’s a ballerina who has had no qualms about making her desire to run a company known. Read the story, “In Charge,” here, and see her in action at our cover shoot here.
