Summer vacation? What’s that? For dancers, summer can be a time to work even harder than you do year-round: to focus intensively on training, test the limits of what you think you can do, and come away stronger in body and mind—which, if you love to dance, is also great fun. That hard work looks different for everyone. Maybe you want to polish your technique and improve your partnering skills; perhaps you’re ready for a bold creative challenge or a style of dance you’ve never tried before. Whether you’re an aspiring ballerina, a future Broadway star, or just someone with a passion for movement, our 2013 “Summer Study Guide” is full of ideas to help you plan for a rewarding summer.
