Misty to Share Her "Ballerina Body" Secrets
A week doesn’t go by in the dance world these days without Misty Copeland making headlines. This week, she announced plans to write a book, Ballerina Body, to be released in early 2017. The book, Misty’s third, will include workout tips and recipes for dancers and non-dancers alike. As someone who has tried her black bean soup recipe, I have high hopes for the food-related chapters in particular. And Misty is certainly qualified to give workout advice as well. She’s super-human strong and impossibly toned, and as an Under Armour ambassador, her reach goes beyond the very specific workout needs of ballet dancers.

Meanwhile, Misty’s in Rwanda bringing dance education to young girls, and soon will be California-bound to perform in American Ballet Theatre’s Nutcracker at its new home at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Cosa Mesa, California. And to think, we all have the same number of hours in the day as Misty.
