Christmas trees, lights aglow, fresh snow—and Dorothy? While the beloved character may not have anything to do with holiday cheer, she’s a big part of NBC’s latest TV musical, “The Wiz Live!” And tomorrow night, Thursday, December 3 at 8 pm ET, it’s officially here. For three years now, the network has presented a live musical event at the start of the season.

Newcomer Shanice Williams plays Dorothy in this funky retelling of The Wizard of Oz, which took home seven Tonys when it hit Broadway in 1975. And since it’s live, anything could happen, so pop plenty of popcorn for this three-hour show. The cast includes more than a few familiar names: Queen Latifah as The Wiz, Mary J. Blige as Evillene, David Alan Grier as the Cowardly Lion, Amber Riley as Addaperle, Common as the Bouncer and Ne-Yo as the Tin Man. Combine their star power with choreographer Fatima Robinson’s moves (she’s worked on videos for the likes of Iggy Azalea, Pharrell Williams and the Black Eyed Peas)—plus flying monkeys courtesy of Cirque du Soleil—for a fun night of the Great White Way meeting the small screen.

Check out the teaser below, and tune in tomorrow night. Happy holidays!
